A cold & windy climate is not good for the skin because it speeds up evaporation of moisture and oil. In cold weather the windchill factor means more rapid loss of body heat, causing skin to become rough, red, and flaky. Moisturizers, antioxidants, micronized zinc sun protection and cream makeup offer good protection. I love Epicuren Discovery and Rhonda Allison skin care! This is my typical product regime in cold weather: Epicuren's citrus herbal cleanser (morning and night), enzyme concentrate (a few times a week), ORAC antioxidant (a few times a week), a few drops of moisture surge mixed with gel plus, Rhonda Allison's peptide eye cream, zinc SPF, and mineral makeup. I also use retinol Rx a few times a week...Large sunglasses, warm gloves, scarfs for head and neck along with a warm coat also help the skin stay protected from the wind and cold!
